Conveyence Deed

Q1. What is conveyance deed?
A1. Conveyance deed is conveyance of right of ownership of the flat to the allottee, after the payment and the documents are received from the allottee and possession is taken over by him/her. Conveyance Deed is executed in the cases of free hold allotments only.
Q2. What is Stamp Duty?
A2. Stamp Duty is the duty paid by the allottee to the Collector of Stamps under the GNCTD, before execution of the conveyance Deed., as per the rates fixed by the Government from time to time and is to be borne by the allottee.
Q3. What is the procedure for obtaining conveyance deed of my flat?
A3. After taking over the possession of the flat, the allottee is required to intimate to the Dy. Director concerned alongwith a copy of the possession slip and clear the dues whatsoever viz service charges etc., before the date for execution of the conveyance deed is given.
Q4. Can I come for execution of conveyance deed on the date of my convenience.
A4. Yes, but give at least one week's time for locating the file.
   
Q5. What do I do after execution of conveyance deed by DDA.
A5. You have to register the conveyance deed with the Registrar under the GNCTD.
