• DDA organizes several tournaments and sports events every year, with a view to nurture and encourage sporting talent in Delhi.
• These tournaments and events are held at the sports facilities created by the DDA. The range of these events is from the school-level, the state-level to the level of the top-seeded players in the country.
• DDA is thus contributing to sharpening the sporting talent not just in the present crop of sports-persons but also creating a new generation striving to excel in their chosen games.

Major Tournaments / Events being Organised

The following major tournaments at State & National level are organised by the Sports Wing every year at various venues given below:

• DDA Invitational Volleyball Tournament organised at Hari Nagar Sports Complex.
• DDA Prize money Invitational Hockey Championship organised Major Dhyan Chand Sports Complex, Ashok Vihar as Shivaji Stadium.
• DDA Open Junior Tennis Championship (AITA ranking) organised at Saket Sports Complex.
• Lt. Governor's Cup Football Tournament at Ambedkar Stadium organised by Yamuna Sports Complex. It is a prize money tournament.
• V.C's Cup Football Tournament for schools held at Siri Fort Sports Complex.
• DDA Open Squash Tournament a National level prize money tournament conducted at Siri Fort Sports Complex.
• Golf Tournaments -
  Lt. Governor's Cup organised at Qutab Golf Course (QGC).
  In addition to the Lt. Governor's Cup, three more tournaments i.e. Admiral's Cup, CAG's Cup and civil services cup are also organised at QGC.
• A ProAm Tournament was organised for the first time in Apr 2005 and is planned to be made into an annual feature.
