For each plot/piece of land disposed either through auction or through allotment a separate account both for premium and ground rent is being maintained by the respective sections of Land Costing Wing. So far accounts are being maintained manually except in respect of plots of Rohini Scheme. The accounts both of premium and ground rent of Rohini Scheme are on computer.

A detailed record of the premium of the plot as demanded by the Management Wing and the receipt against thereof is being maintained and it is also being monitored whether the interest charges on belated payments have been received or not.

Ground Rent is payable by all allottees/lessees in respect of the lease hold properly held by them at the prescribed rates as intimated to them through the allotment letter/terms of auction/lease deed as the case may be.

The Ground Rent is payable in advance of the commencement of the year in cases where yearly Ground rent is payable and before the commencement of the half yearly on 15th January and 15th July where half yearly Ground rent is required to be paid as the case may be.

In cases of delayed payments interest on ground rent is payable @ 10% irrespective of a formal notice to the lessee/sub-lessee on this account is sent or not.
