Guidelines

Planning is the prime function of Delhi Development Authority and under section 7 of DD Act, 1957, the Authority shall prepare the Master Plan of Delhi for the Planned Development of the Capital city.

DDA's Planning and Architecture Department is one of the largest conglomerates of qualified professionals in the country. Since its inception the major contributions of the department have been:

• Preparation of planning policies/proposals/approach for the capital city through Master Plan, Zonal Plans & Action Area Plans & Urban Extension Projects.
• Transportation Planning integrating road, rail & air traffic for the cohesive and detailed planning / design for comprehensive circulation network & traffic management.
• Environment Management Schemes, landscape designs for the city as a whole, development of sports complexes & open spaces in residential areas etc.
• Sanctioning of building plans & enforcement for DDA built up flats and the areas under DDA's Jurisdiction.
